Your Impact

As an Asphalt Roller Operator in our In-Town Paving Division, you'll play a crucial role in delivering high-quality infrastructure projects throughout the Flathead Valley. Your expertise in achieving perfect compaction and smoothness will directly contribute to the durability and quality of Montana's roads and surfaces.

Key Responsibilities

+ Master the art of roller operation with precise overlapping passes to achieve optimal compaction

+ Apply your knowledge of material behavior and temperature effects to determine ideal operating parameters

+ Conduct equipment inspections to ensure peak performance and safety

+ Navigate safely in live traffic environments

+ Operate additional equipment as projects require

+ Travel to job sites across Montana

What You Bring

+ 2+ years of operating experience (roller operation experience preferred)

+ Sharp attention to detail and strong decision-making abilities

+ Excellence in both team collaboration and independent work

+ Clear communication skills, both verbal and written

+ Problem-solving mindset and analytical thinking

+ Commitment to safety and professional ethics

+ Flexibility for various shifts and overtime when needed

Physical Requirements

+ Lift and carry 25-50 lbs. regularly.

+ Perform repetitive movements like bending, kneeling, squatting, and twisting.

+ Sit or stand for long periods and navigate uneven terrain.

+ Work outdoors in all types of weather and noisy environments.

+ Frequent sitting

+ Occasional push/pull

+ Rarely bending/stooping

+ Rarely climbing

+ Occasional reaching

+ Continuous grasping equipment controls

+ Occasional fine manipulation
