Description

Lead a dynamic team on the Pediatric Hematology/Oncology unit at UCLA Mattel's Children's hospital. As an APP supervisor on this service, you can make a difference in our patient and families lives. The APP Supervisor will be responsible for developing a new team of APP providers that will provide and coordinate the care of patients, provide patient/family education, promote safe continuity of care. The APP also participates in interdisciplinary and clinical rounds, provides education and support, as well as makes appropriate referrals.

Salary range: $140,200- $331,800/annually

Qualifications

+ Degree in PA program-required

+ CA PA License- required

+ BLS Certification from American Red Cross or American Heart Association-required

+ PALS Certification from American Heart Association-required

+ National Board Certification as PA-required

+ NPI#,DEA#, Enrollment in PECOS, Enrollment in CURES-required

+ 3 years clinical experience as an inpatient pediatric hematology/oncology APP - required

+ 2 years leadership experience -preferred

+ Ability to utilize excel, word and other software programs-required

+ Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and collaborative working relationships with administrative, clinical and academic personnel-required

+ Skill in working independently and following through with minimum direction-required

+ Ability to set priorities-required

+ Demonstrate writing skills to compose logical, detailed and grammatically correct correspondence-required

+ Document patient care in a concise and comprehensive manner-required
