Work Schedule: Days and Evenings with Weekend and Holiday Rotation

Hours: 6am-2pm, 8am-4pm, 12pm-8pm

Summary:

Maintains facility, equipment and grounds in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with Federal, State standards, guidelines and regulations, facility established policy and procedures.

Responsibilities:

EDUCATION

+ High School diploma or GED

+ Valid NY State driver's license preferred

EXPERIENCE

+ Two (2) years' experience in building and maintenance preferred

KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY

+ Have working knowledge of heating, cooling, plumbing, electrical and carpentry skills, and other general maintenance areas

+ Ability to use various power tools

+ Communication skills which may be inclusive of approach, tone of voice, speed of communication, respectfulness and non-verbal communication

+ Must be able to read, write and speak the English language

+ Must possess basic math skills

WORKING CONDITIONS:

+ Standing, walking, climbing, kneeling, heavy lifting up to 40 pounds

+ Must have sufficient dexterity to handle equipment efficiently and safely

+ May work in cramped areas

+ May be exposed to hazards from electrical, mechanical and power equipment

+ Driving may be required

+ Required to be on call on a rotating schedule

ENVIRONMENT

+ Intermittent exposure to a few unpleasant physical conditions

+ Exposure to chemicals and hazardous materials

+ Subject to environmental temperature extremes
