Our client, a leader in facility management, is seeking a Building Operating Engineer to join their team. As a Building Operating Engineer, you will be part of the maintenance department supporting the operational integrity of the facility. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety, which will align successfully with the organization.

**Job Title:** Building Operating Engineer

**Location:** Cambridge, MA

What's the Job?

+ Perform maintenance and repairs on Mechanical, Plumbing, Structural, Furniture, Fire, Life Safety, and Control systems to ensure compliance with applicable standards.

+ Maintain responsibility for facility services, including preventative maintenance, purchasing, inventory control, and technical proficiency.

+ Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance levels.

+ Record equipment readings and make adjustments as necessary for proper operation.

+ Monitor the quality and pricing of maintenance work performed by outside contractors.

What's Needed?

+ High School Diploma or Equivalent.

+ A minimum of 2 years of experience in maintaining and repairing commercial building systems.

+ Ability to analyze and troubleshoot various Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and HVAC systems.

+ Familiarity with Building Management Systems (BMS) and work order platforms.

+ Working knowledge of computer applications including Word and Excel.
