    Nurse Assistant Instructor

     

    Status: Part-time

     

    Hours: Monday – Thursday; 12:00 p.m. – 2:30 p.m.

     

    Pay/Salary: $30.00 - $35.00

    As a Nurse Assistant Instructor at South Summit High School, you’ll play a vital role in shaping the next generation of compassionate and skilled healthcare professionals. By fostering both technical skills and professional attitudes, you will empower students to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those they serve.     What You’ll Do:

    As a Nurse Assistant Instructor, you will play a crucial role in creating a supportive and effective learning environment that prepares students for success in the healthcare field. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

     

    + Delivering engaging and comprehensive instruction in both classroom and lab settings.

    + Collaborating with fellow instructors and administrators to maintain a curriculum that meets current industry standards and promotes real-world readiness.

    + Prepare and adhere to clear course syllabi and lesson plans that align with program goals.

    + Developing hands-on learning activities and supplemental materials that enhance student understanding and retention.

    + Instilling a strong focus on employability, professionalism, and patient safety throughout the learning experience.

    + Leading students in lab and clinical experiences, providing meaningful feedback and mentorship during their hands-on training.

    + Supporting students in building confidence and competence as they prepare for licensure and real-world caregiving.

    What We’re Looking For:

    + Education Requirements: A high school diploma or the equivalent.

    + License: A current, active Utah nursing license in good standing with the Utah Division of Occupational and Professional Licensing.

    + Experience: At least three years of nursing experience, with at least one year providing care in long-term care settings or to elderly or chronically ill individuals.

    + Educational Passion: A genuine interest in teaching and mentoring, with the ability to engage and support both high school and adult learners in a professional manner.

    + Instructional Skills: Familiarity with effective instructional techniques and a commitment to continuously improving teaching methods.

    + Clinical Expertise: Up-to-date clinical knowledge and a dedication to teaching best practices in patient care and safety.
