    Substitute Plumbing Apprenticeship Instructor

     

    Status: Part-Time

     

    Hours: Monday & Wednesday, 6:00 p.m. – 9 p.m., or Tuesday & Thursday, 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.

     

    Pay/Salary: $30.25 hourly

    What You'll Do:

    Responsibilities of the Substitute Plumbing Apprenticeship Instructor include, but are not limited to:

    + Be willing to travel to the Spanish Fork and Lehi campuses as needed.

    + Deliver dynamic, hands-on lessons emphasizing skill-based competency training, making learning engaging and impactful.

    + Design and implement lesson plans, ensuring students gain practical skills through lab work and real-world applications.

    + Guide, mentor, and supervise students, fostering a supportive and productive learning environment both in the classroom and on the practical floor.

    + Assess student progress through written, oral, practical, and performance-based evaluations.

    + Create a student-centered atmosphere, maintain an inspiring, well-organized classroom, and ensure safe, functional, and well-maintained equipment.

    + Keep accurate, up-to-date student attendance, performance, and accountability records to support their success.

    What We're Looking For:

    + Education Requirements: A high school diploma or equivalent is required.

    + Licensure: Must be a licensed journeyman plumber.

    + Industry Expertise: A strong knowledge of current plumbing principles, methods, and techniques with hands-on experience in the field is needed.

    + Technology Skills: Familiarity with the trade's modern tools, software, and instructional technology.

    + Teaching & Mentorship: Ability to guide, instruct, and inspire students, helping them develop technical skills and professional confidence.

    + Commitment to Student Success: It is essential to have a passion for helping students reach their full potential through education and hands-on training.
