    What you’ll do as a Directional Drill Bore Operator

     

    + Safely operate drill equipment on jobsite which may include but not limited to the following: Directional Drill, Backhoe / Excavator, Skid Steer, Tractor Trailer (Moving Equipment / Haul Water), Vacuum Truck/Trailer

    + Restore and/or landscape disturbed areas of the jobsite

    + Develop and maintain a bore schedule

    + Be responsible for the site set-up and clean-up

    + Load and unload tools, materials and equipment on truck

    + Be involved in new site Job Safety Analysis – JSA prior to starting construction

    + Set up safety perimeter using signage, cones and safety barriers and at times flagging traffic

     

    What you’ll need

     

    + To be 18 years of age or older

    + Authorization to work in the United States for this company

    + A valid standard Driver's License or a Class A Commercial Driver's License with tanker endorsement

    + An MVR record that is deemed acceptable by the company

    + Ability to maintain a safe work environment

    + Ability to work in all weather conditions

    + Ability to lift/carry 50 lbs regularly and up to 75 lbs as needed with or without assistance

    + Ability to work over-time; after hours; on weekends, for emergencies or on-call

    + Experience with drilling equipment and understand their capabilities and limitations

    + Ability to proficiently use locators to safely identify utilities

    + Experience with drill set up and design processes

    + Ability to read and understand work orders, safety rules and operating instructions

    + Ability to climb up and down ladders, machinery, and other objects

    + Previous construction or utility construction experience

    + Specific vision abilities required to perform this job include but are not limited to: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus potentially near and/or far as needed. Employees in this job classification may be exposed to dust, fumes or other airborne pathogens

    + Employees may be exposed to toxic or corrosive chemicals as well as moving machinery parts and pieces. Remote work may be required; long driving and sitting will be required. The noise level in the work environment for this position is moderate

     

    Pay Range: $29 - $32 per hour
