Overview Senior Center Coordinator Monaca, PA - Full-Time, Daylight 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. - Tuesday to Saturday Lutheran SeniorLife provides a comprehensive array of community based health and social service programs throughout western Pennsylvania. Our services include LIFE (Living Independence for the Elderly); skilled nursing, home health; personal care; adoption & foster care; assisted living; adult day services; memory care; hospice; palliative care; residential living; affordable housing; home safety monitoring; Meals on Wheels; rehabilitation services and private duty. Lutheran Service Society is a nonprofit human services provider with the mission to empower our neighbors to lead independent, dignified, and secure lives. Programs include adoption and foster care, Meals on Wheels, senior centers and affordable housing. The Senior Center Coordinator in collaboration with the Sr. Center Program manager, improves operations, identifies and implements process improvements, and ensures compliance in support of the achievement of the Senior Center’s mission. Directs, coordinates and monitors activities through the Senior Center. Qualifications Senior Center Coordinator High school education or equivalent required. Education or experience in Human Services or related field preferred. Prior experience working with the elderly population. Organizational and leadership skills. Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures. Must have or be able to obtain the Safe Serve Certification within 60 days. Able to obtain certification in CPR and Basic First Aid. Must have dependable transportation with a valid driver’s license. Working knowledge of computers, Microsoft Word and Excel required.
