Description We are looking for a dedicated Billing Analyst to join our team in New York, New York. This long-term contract position offers an excellent opportunity to work in a collaborative environment with a focus on legal billing and accounting processes. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in billing functions and accounting systems, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial operations.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and process billing cycles efficiently, ensuring timely and accurate invoices for clients.

• Collaborate closely with attorneys and the accounting team to address billing inquiries and resolve discrepancies.

• Utilize accounting software systems, including Aderant and other tools, to streamline billing processes.

• Perform audits on billing data to ensure compliance with company standards and financial regulations.

• Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding payments to maintain cash flow.

• Generate detailed financial reports and present findings to stakeholders as needed.

• Implement and maintain best practices for legal billing operations to optimize efficiency.

• Provide training and guidance to team members on billing systems and procedures.

• Assist in adapting to new financial tools or software, such as SurePoint, to improve workflow.

• Ensure confidentiality and accuracy in managing sensitive financial data. Requirements • Proven experience in billing functions, preferably within a legal or detail-oriented services environment.

• Proficiency in accounting software systems such as Aderant, ADP, and Costpoint.

• Strong understanding of accounts receivable and auditing processes.

• Familiarity with legal billing practices and CRM systems.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with attorneys and accounting specialists.

• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and accuracy in all financial operations.
