Description We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Entry-Level Accountant to join our team in Rio Rancho, New Mexico. This is a Contract-to-Permanent position, offering an excellent opportunity to develop your accounting skills in a collaborative and fast-paced environment. The role requires working 100% on-site and involves managing a variety of accounting tasks to support our financial operations.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and reconcile bank statements to ensure accuracy in financial records.

• Record and manage general ledger entries with precision and timeliness.

• Process daily cash deposits and correctly apply payments to customer accounts.

• Maintain accurate records for monthly sales and use tax reporting.

• Oversee fixed asset accounting, including adding new assets and disposing of old ones.

• Generate customer billings and ensure timely invoicing as needed.

• Analyze and resolve discrepancies in monthly general ledger reconciliations.

• Prepare and allocate monthly and quarterly overhead costs.

• Assist in the preparation of financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual documents.

• Support the annual audit process by compiling necessary documentation and responding to inquiries. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent work experience in the field.

• Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.

• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality in handling financial records.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a customer-focused approach.

• Familiarity with accounting systems such as Sage 300 and concepts like accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.

• Knowledge of construction accounting practices is a plus.
