Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Tax Manager in the public sector. The role is based in White Bear Lake, Minnesota, and involves working in a CPA firm with multiple locations. The primary focus will be on managing tax functions for privately held clients.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the preparation and review of complex tax returns

• Manage corporate tax returns in adherence to federal and state regulations

• Coordinate the preparation and submission of federal tax returns

• Implement strategies to manage federal taxes effectively

• Work towards maintaining a balance between work duties and personal life

• Monitor and ensure low chargeable hours

• Facilitate growth within the team and firm

• Maintain regular communication with clients and provide excellent customer service

• Stay updated with tax laws and regulations to provide accurate advice to clients

• Work towards improving the quality of life within the team and firm. Requirements • Must possess a minimum of 5 years of experience as a Tax Manager in a public setting.

• Proficient in handling complex tax returns.

• Demonstrated experience in preparing and reviewing corporate tax returns.

• Comprehensive knowledge of federal tax returns and federal taxes.

• Proven ability to interpret and apply federal tax laws and regulations.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

• Proficient in the use of tax preparation and accounting software.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field is required.

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Tax Coach (CTC) designation is preferred.

• Must have a keen attention to detail and the ability to work under tight deadlines.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to mentor junior staff members.
