Description We are looking for a skilled Accounting Specialist to join our non-profit organization in Manchester, New Hampshire. This Contract-to-Permanent position is ideal for a detail-oriented individual who thrives in managing financial transactions and ensuring accuracy in accounting processes. The role offers an opportunity to contribute to a mission-driven team while growing your expertise in accounting.

Responsibilities:

• Handle Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes with accuracy and efficiency.

• Manage monthly and quarterly billing cycles, ensuring timely and precise invoicing.

• Process organizational and credit card payments while maintaining proper documentation.

• Organize and distribute daily mail, ensuring correspondence is addressed promptly.

• Prepare detailed expense reports and reconcile accounts as needed.

• Maintain organized filing systems and ensure accurate record-keeping.

• Utilize QuickBooks for tracking and managing financial data effectively.

• Support the team with general accounting functions and provide insights for process improvements. Requirements • Proven experience in accounting, including AP and AR responsibilities.

• Proficiency in managing billing cycles and processing payments.

• Familiarity with QuickBooks or similar accounting software.

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to prepare and analyze expense reports effectively.

• Excellent communication skills for handling correspondence and reporting.

• Experience with maintaining filing systems and financial records.

• Commitment to working in a non-profit environment and contributing to organizational goals.
