Our client, a growing manufacturing company, is adding to staff! They have partnered with Robert Half in their search for an experienced Senior Accounting Analyst to join their team in Windsor, Connecticut. In this role, you will play a key part in overseeing complex financial activities, ensuring accuracy, and supporting company objectives. The ideal candidate will have a strong blended accounting and finance background and a proven ability to manage financial processes effectively.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee and execute key accounting functions, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close processes.
• Conduct detailed variance analysis to identify and explain discrepancies between actual and forecasted financial results.
• Prepare and manage budgets, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and financial strategies.
• Perform bank account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Support corporate consolidation efforts by compiling and analyzing financial data from various business units.
• Assist in forecasting activities, providing insights to support strategic decision-making.
• Review and enhance internal auditing processes to ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial reporting and operational initiatives.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements to streamline accounting and financial activities.
• Provide accurate and timely financial analysis to support management's decision-making needs.
Requirements • A minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or financial analysis roles.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, including month-end close and corporate consolidation processes.
• Proficiency in performing account reconciliations and preparing journal entries.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Familiarity with auditing practices and financial controls.
• Advanced Excel skills and the ability to work with complex financial data.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
