Description

As a Construction Manager, you'll be at the heart of our projects, ensuring everything runs smoothly from start to finish. Your main goal will be to meet the client’s cost, quality, equipment, material usage, and safety objectives. You'll act as a vital link between the client, field personnel, and the client’s customers, making sure everyone is on the same page and working towards success.

_This is an onsite role in the Portland/Beaverton, OR area._

A typical day may include the following:

You'll take a proactive approach to safety management, developing recognitions and awards for safety metrics. Ensuring that field personnel have the proper training and credentials will be one of your key responsibilities. You'll perform Quality Control checks on the work being done by field personnel and maintain “Request for Information” and Project Cost Deviations. Developing turnover procedures with the client and reviewing and approving contractors’ “Quality Manual” to ensure procedures are followed will also be part of your role.

You'll participate in pre-bid meetings and awards with contractors, engage in design/estimate reviews, and develop and submit construction contract strategies and bidder lists for client approval. Reviewing and approving contractor prequalification questionnaires, developing and reviewing baseline project schedules, and aligning engineering procurement with the schedule will be essential tasks. You'll also develop commissioning plans and sell-off schedules, present monthly reports to client management and project managers, and prepare final construction job books and as-built drawings for submission to engineering/client. Finally, you'll submit final documentation to the client and request permission to begin demobilization.

Qualifications:

+ A minimum of 5 years of experience with at least 3 years of experience as a site construction supervisor, general superintendent, or craft superintendent on utilities and/or industrial construction projects.

+ Sound knowledge of current OSHA regulations and other safety guidelines.
