Major/Essential Functions:
+ Contributes to the university’s mission through teaching, patient care, research and service.
+ Adhere to institutional and departmental policies and procedure.
+ Teaching internal medicine residents, outside rotators, NP's, PA's and medical students.
+ Giving lectures and teaching sessions to fellows, residents and medical students.
+ Building a medical practice of general internal medicine.
+ This position is responsible for supervision of residents in inpatient and outpatient medical care in several local hospitals/rehabilitation units. This includes examination of patients, ordering x-rays and laboratory tests to help make an accurate diagnosis, and planning and execution of treatment.

Required Qualifications:
+ Completion of, or in the process of completing an ACGME Internal Medicine Residency Program.
+ Must hold or be eligible for licensure in the State of Texas.
+ Must hold or be eligible for ABIM board certification.
