    SMX is seeking a skilled **Information Security Analyst** tobe part of ourInformation Technology Team supporting NAWCADat Patuxent River,MD. TheInformation Security Analysttasking includesplanning, implementing,upgradingandmonitoringof security measures protecting the customers computer networks and information.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    + Plan, implement, upgrade and monitor associated security measures

    + Ensure appropriate security controls are in place to safeguard digital files and vital electronic infrastructure.

    + Perform cyber forensic analysis in response to cyber threats and/or incidents in hardware and software environments

    Required Skills:

    + Clearance Required: Top Secret/SCI eligible, Secret to start. The applicant selected may be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

    + Ability to maintain a Top Secret Clearance

    + Knowledge of DoD Information Assurance practices, including Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG)

    + Must be able to interact with peers, management, and senior engineers in a constantly evolving environment to ensure a positive customer experience and atmosphere in the workplace.

    + 3+ years of related IT experience required

    + Associate degree in IT field

    + DoD 8570 compliant (IAT Level 2) (Examples of minimum acceptable certifications-CCNA Security, CySA+, G SEC, Security+ CE, SSCP)

    Desired Skills:

    + Past DoD system administration experience

    + Bachelor’s degree in IT field desired
