MIG Welder

1st shift: 5am-3:30pm Monday- Thursday, Overtime Fridays 5am-10:30am (as needed)

Job Description

As a MIG Welder, you will be responsible for welding various sizes of aluminum and steel, grinding welds, reading blueprints, and measuring and cutting products. You will primarily work on creating big beams for steel buildings, including handrails, cladding, metal wall panels, and lighting features. You must be able to set up your own welder.

Responsibilities

+ Perform MIG welding on various sizes of aluminum and steel.

+ Grind welds to ensure smooth finishes.

+ Read and interpret blueprints for accurate fabrication.

+ Measure and cut products to specified dimensions.

+ Set up and operate welding equipment independently.

Essential Skills

+ Proficiency in MIG welding on aluminum and steel.

+ Experience with grinding welds.

+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

+ Skill in measuring and cutting products accurately.

+ Capability to set up and operate welding equipment independently.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ 1-2 years of MIG welding experience on aluminum or open to candidates right out of tech school.

+ Experience with a variety of steel and aluminum thicknesses, including .125 aluminum, 16, 18, and 20 gauge galvanized steel, and mild steel.

+ Familiarity with welding fabrication, production processes, and the use of feed grinders.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $30.00/hr.
