Job Title: CNC Machinist
Job Description
The CNC Machinist is responsible for programming, setting up, and operating CNC equipment to produce parts in accordance with supplied prints. The machinist will ensure the quality of machined parts produced on the CNC equipment, select and install the proper cutting tools per programming set-up requirements, and set up and run various CNC lathes and mills. The machinist will be responsible for short runs, producing a maximum of 25 parts per job.
Responsibilities
+ Program CNC equipment using CAD/CAM posts to produce parts according to drawing specifications in Metric.
+ Set up and operate CNC lathes and mills.
+ Select and install proper cutting tools per programming set-up requirements.
+ Ensure the quality of machined parts produced on the CNC equipment.
+ Collaborate with Quality Inspectors to resolve any quality issues as needed.
+ Work with Engineers on custom components for customers.
+ Perform routine maintenance on CNC equipment.
Essential Skills
+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
+ Experience with lathe and mill operations.
+ Proficient in troubleshooting and change over processes.
+ Experience with CNC setup.
+ Ability to measure parts utilizing the metric system.
+ Experience in editing and programming using G&M coding.
+ Familiarity with Fanuc Control, CAD/CAM systems.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with Haas Mill and Lathe machines.
+ Strong collaboration skills to work with Engineers and Quality Inspectors.
+ Ability to perform routine maintenance on CNC equipment.

Work Environment
The work environment includes a manufacturing floor where CNC machines are located, shared with the rest of the warehouse. The facility is well-lit, very clean, heated in the winter, air-conditioned in the summer, and spacious. Standard working hours are from 7 AM to 3:30 PM with two 10-minute breaks at 10 AM and 3 PM, and an hour-long lunch.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Huntley, Illinois.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $30.00/hr.
