    A Day in The Life of a Warehouse Associate/CDL Truck Driver

     

    As a Warehouse Associate/Truck Driver - CDL Class A you will be responsible for transporting cargo to and from specified destinations. You will prepare, receive, and provide appropriate documentation for the delivery or pick-up of goods to ensure timely service. _*_ _Must have a "satisfactory" driving record. Must have CDL Classification/Certification. Requires applicable truck driver license for state._

     

    + Drive a truck with capacity up to three tons and usually six wheels to transport materials

    + Load, secure, verify, and unload cargo

    + Prepare delivery schedule

    + Deliver materials to locations designated by the customer

    + Obtain customer’s signature for proof of delivery and help to unload truck

    + Perform the duties of Warehouse Associate when not driving the truck and making deliveries

    Education & Experience

    + High school degree or equivalent required

    + Must have a valid CDL License

    + 2 years required of truck driving experience

    Skills & Requirements

    + Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

    + Ability to be on your feet for extended periods

    + Vision - near, far, night

    + Ability to detect or tell differences between sounds varying in pitch and loudness

    + Ability to quickly respond (with hand, finger, foot) to signals (sound, light, picture) when it appears
