    Job Title:** **Furniture Handler (GAO)

    **Job Summary:** EMCOR Government Services is seeking a **Furniture Handler** in **Washington, DC** . The scheduled work hours are: 7:15 AM - 4 PM. This position is covered by the CBA for Local 99.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    + Assist Receiving Unit Supervisor with organizing daily tasks to include, receiving deliveries and distribute materials and office supplies

    + Assist with moving furniture and other handling of materials weighing up to 50 lbs.

    + Assist with IT deliveries and with bar coding the new IT property

    + Support set up of new GAO employee workstations and internal moves

    + Perform daily set up of conference rooms.

    + Perform Quality Control checks on service requests pertaining to the Receiving Unit to make sure of accuracy.

    + Assist GAO Mail Room with receiving FedEx and UPS Deliveries via security scanning equipment in the Mail Room.

    + Log the packages into the GAO RUIS system, print signature sheets and assign RU staff member to deliver packages.

    + File paperwork according to GAO policy.

    + Other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications:

    + Must have at least one year experience safely utilizing handheld pallet jacks, electric pallet jacks, and furniture moving equipment.

    + Operators of the pallet jacks shall require certification.
