Job Overview
The Supervisor, Radiological Controls will carry out the company's health physics, safety and industrial hygiene policies and procedures on field project assignments in support of the Decontamination and Decommissioning (D&D) of facilities at the Kesselring Naval Training Facility in West Milton, NY as a part of a joint venture with BWXT to form BWSR.
Key Responsbilites
+ Provide technical direction to Radiological Controls Technicians (RCT) to ensure compliance with applicable company and job-specific policies/procedures along with applicable government regulations.
+ Provide training and testing to BWSR NAVSEA 389-0288 Article 107 qualified personnel. This includes catch, drape, glove bag and walk-in CSCA qualifications.
+ Scheduling and daily supervision of RCT (s), including the approval of time worked; and providing leadership during radiological casualties.
+ Review and maintain associated records for compliance with technical requirements.
+ Ensure RCT (s) provide effective oversight of construction and remediation activities.
+ Must be capable of working independently and must be capable of effective decision making in the absence of the Radiological Controls Manager.
+ Complete radiological monitoring reports.
+ Interpret radiological control requirements, participate in task scoping, and provide technical review of work documents.
+ Interface with customer radiological and operations management personnel concerning radiological issues.
+ Responsible for Article 108 CTP on a monthly basis.
+ Must possess good communication skills to effectively provide information to Senior management and the Naval Reactors Representative Office (NRRO) personnel in a timely and accurate manner.
Basic Qualifications
+ Requires a minimum of a 2-year college degree in math or science (or related degree), and 5 years of experience in the Naval Reactors Program as an SRCT, or no degree and 10 years of experience in the Naval Reactors Program as an SRCT
+ Current (active) Article 108 Qualification strongly preferred
+ Must be a US Citizen; no dual citizenship
+ Must be able to obtain and maintain a DOE "L" Security Clearance
+ Current (active) DOE "L" Clearance strongly preferred.

The targeted salary for this position is $110,000 - $130,000.
