Ameresco is seeking experienced a commercial HVAC Field Technician to join our team with a focus on installations and maintenance of commercial HVAC units on Renewable Energy Sites located throughout New England. This is a fast-paced and rewarding job that is best suited for individuals who are responsible, self-directed, highly motivated, willing to travel, and looking to learn and grow in the Renewable industry.

Responsibilities:

+ Maintaining commercial cooling systems on Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) focusing on installations including pipefitting of entire systems and diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing, and replacing components.

+ Conducting performance checks and regular maintenance.

+ Performing additional maintenance or upgrades to out-of-season equipment.

+ Responding to service calls in a timely manner, including emergency call out services.

+ Timely and accurate completion of daily work reports.

+ Specific duties may vary or evolve over time based on business and client needs.

+ Be available for after-hours and weekend callouts/shifts as needed.

+ Occasional travel outside of New England as needed.

+ Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

+ High school diploma or an equivalent.

+ Minimum of two (2) years of experience with HVAC maintenance in a commercial setting.

+ Basic knowledge of electronic, mechanical, and electrical components including refrigeration systems. Fire alarm experience is highly desirable.

+ Level 2 or Universal EPA Certificate is required at time of hire.

Additional Qualifications:

+ Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and by email.

+ Must be willing and able to comply with OSHA Standards.

+ Available to travel up to 100%, especially during busy summer months.

+ Driving to remote work sites as needed.

+ Able to work outdoors in inclement weather and ambient temperatures.

+ Physically able to lift and move equipment as needed (up to 50 pounds).

+ Able to comply with FCC/EPA/OSHA Regulations.

+ Must have a valid driver's license in good standing issued by state of residence.
