Summary

ASM Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an excellent and immediate opening for a full-time Command Representative for the graveyard shift at Stockton Complex.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

+ Performing rounds to make sure the Arena, Ballpark, Bob Hope Theatre, Stockton Marina and Oak Park Ice Rink are secure as required, which includes entering rooms and stairwells to check for abnormalities (smells, sounds, out of normal activity).

+ Accurately keep a security log of facility activities

+ Maintains accurate count of people in the venue

+ Keep track of incoming and outgoing packages

+ Ensure the venue is secure at all times

+ Monitor Venue(s) security surveillance systems

+ Completes all assigned daily tasks

+ Demonstrates excellent customer service skills; responds promptly to customer needs, responds to requests for service and assistance, able to work independently and as a team

+ Accurately maintaining event log during events

+ Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

+ Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.

+ Must have a valid California Driver's License.

+ Ability to keep logs of incidents, incoming/outgoing mail, incoming/outgoing guests entering the venue, and any other activities

+ Ability to walk, stand & sit for varying amounts of time

+ Applicants must have a current Guard Card or Proprietary Security Officer (PSO) Card OR be willing and able to obtain one prior to employment.

+ Ability to maintain good business relations with all departments and staff.

+ Ability to effectively perform in crises and work under pressure without the loss of composure.

+ Ability to exhibit maturity by making sound judgement.

+ Ability to memorize, recollect and quickly retrieve relevant information.

+ Ability to interact effectively and calmly with angry or emotional patrons and employees during intensely aggravated circumstances.

+ Ability to participate in all departmental and companywide meetings.

+ Ability to maintain patron, employee, and company confidentiality.

+ Must be able to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.

+ Understanding of written and spoken English.

+ Perform a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another of a different nature without the loss of efficiency or composure.

+ California Driver’s License and California Guard Card preferred

Education and/or Experience

+ Must have a High School Diploma or G.E.D.

+ A minimum of 0-1 years of related work experience.

Skills and Abilities

Strong customer/guest services skills; Knowledge of ticketing/seating procedures; Must possess good written and verbal communication skills; Must be available to work variable hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays; Ability to work independently with little supervision. Ability to handle difficult, sometimes emotional, situations with the public and guests in a calm and professional manner.

Computer Skills

Basic computer skills are required for this position.

Compensation

The pay range for this position is $17.85 to $20.78 depending on experience.
