Compensation & Benefits Overview:

Job Title is determined at the second stage interview.** **Pay for painter titles range from $27 - $52.50/hr based upon level of skill and experience.

The Role

**To be eligible** for the Mural Painter position at Colossal Media you must have previous **experience painting advertisements** in the **Out Of Home industry.** This position is for mural painters with several years of experience working with **oil-based enamels** and brushes at a large scale. We welcome painters who are looking for a fast-paced team environment. In addition to painting, we rely on each other to teach subsequent generations of wall dogs. The paint team at Colossal is one that works together to grow everyone's ability. At Colossal, you will help grow the industry as well as your portfolio. Key Responsibilities:

+ The Mural Painter position works within our paint team to execute walls from either a home base in NYC or LA.

+ Painting, coating, blending, mixing, applying, and cleaning of wall spaces

+ Understand and execute measuring protocols, job site organization, packing and shipping of gear, pattern training, pouncing, artwork acetate, and rigging support, amongst others

+ Product application as it applies to Graphic, Complex Graphic, Non-Organic, Complex Non-Organic, Organic, and Complex Organic creative

+ Responsible for troubleshooting in the field and on job sites

+ Responsible for safely working with a team.

+ Ability to teach and support in workshops/non-media training when applicable.

+ Represent Colossal in a confident and professional manner.

+ Be on-site and/or on-call during scheduled times, this may include working nights/weekends.

+ Appropriately document all services performed: Slack channels, bulletins, job communications, and daily communications.

+ Drive company vehicles.

+ Adhere to our social media policy.

+ Consent to the participation of interviews, the use of quotes, the taking of photographs, and video recordings while on-site or at the shop.

Requirements:

The Basics:

+ Valid driver's license and driving experience.

+ A high school diploma or equivalent is required.

+ Successful completion of OSHA 30-Hour Construction course is required.

+ Previous experience working at heights above ground level preferred, but not required

+ 3+ years of out-of-home painting experience preferred

+ Extensive experience working with bulletin enamels medium and brushes

+ Ability to work within a team environment

+ Superior work ethic

+ Zero fear of heights

+ Adaptable, persistent, positive, and focused

+ A good alarm clock

+ Availability to travel up to 1 week per month

+ Ability to lift up to 100 lbs

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

+ The primary work environment for this position is outdoors, requiring the ability to work in adverse weather conditions and climb to heights over 200 ft.

+ The physical demands for this position include heavy lifting (up to 100 pounds), extensive bending, pushing, reaching, seeing (with a focus on reading, color distinction, acuity, depth perception, and peripheral vision), sitting less than 50% of the time, standing, stooping, talking, turning, walking, driving, and climbing.

+ Nights spent away from home traveling are no less than 25% of the time.

+ On-call shifts may be required.
