The successful APP will have experience in the critical care setting. The role will include early identification and management of patients at risk for deterioration on the medicine/cardiology units and will make recommendations regarding escalation to the Critical Care and Step-Down areas. In consultation with the physician(s) and care team members, Advanced Practitioners develop plans for further evaluation of health needs, e.g., referral to other health team members or specialists.
