    CERTIFICATIONS:

    + Current Security+CE or equivalent DoD 8570 IAT level II certification

     

    DAY SHIFT: 100% Full time onsite, Joint Base Andrews (JBA), MD

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    The Voice/Data Network Engineer will:

    + Perform engineering for new circuit installations, modifications, and de-activations.

    + Provide technical and operational support to end-user services, network expansions, and modernization of telecommunications backbone systems.

    + Provide problem resolution for all hardware and software elements of the data communication circuits maintained by the work center to include Commercial and GFE owned networks.

    + Provide outage and restoration information as required to include restore times.

    + Ensure the availability of the circuits in coordination with others work centers as required.

    + Perform status updates and circuit monitoring as required

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    + Active DOD Secret Clearance

    + Minimum/General Experience: 2 or more years of relevant experience.

    + Minimum Education: A bachelor's degree and current Security+ce certification

    + Education and experience requirements may be substituted with:

    + A master's degree and and a current Security+ce or equivalent DoD 8570 IAT level II certification

    + No degree with 6 years of intensive and progressive experience demonstrating the required proficiency levels related to task and a current Security+ce or equivalent DoD 8570 IAT level II certification
