Job Description
Key Responsibilities
+ Analyze preclinical & clinical imaging data (mainly PET & MRI) using quantitative methods.
+ Support interpretation of results based on imaging.
+ Utilize experience in coding.
+ Provide technical expertise & operational support for implementation of imaging endpoints in clinical trials (Phase IIII), working closely with clinical operations, statistics, & CROs.
+ Utilize knowledge of image analysis & modeling.
+ Develop & review study-specific documents including Image Review Charter, Technical Operations Manuals, Image Acquisition Forms, image data transfer specifications & agreements.
+ Set up & coordinate electronic image transfer to PACs picture archiving & communication system.
+ Utilize medical imaging IT, including PACs & DICOM standard.
+ Perform image data QC & ensure that imaging data received is consistent with acquisition protocol transfer specification.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
Must have a Bachelor’s degree or foreign academic equivalent in Bioengineering, Biomedical Engineering, Electrical & Computer Engineering or Physics or a highly related field of study & 5 years of coding & data management work experience related to medical imaging. Of work experience required, must have 3 years in each of the following:
+ coding with at least 1 of the following: MATLAB, Python, R, or Java;
+ working knowledge of image analysis & modeling using ITK, 3D slicer, FSL, or SPM;
+ working with MRI & PET data; &
+ understanding of medical imaging IT, including PACs & DICOM standard.
Alternatively, would accept a Master’s degree in the aforementioned fields, & 6 months of coding & data management work experience related to medical imaging, & 6 months of exp in (i) through (iv).
Work experience can be gained concurrently. Will accept any reasonable combination of education, training & experience.
Additional Information
Pay Rate: $151,000 per year.
