Summary:

Meta is seeking a data center Critical Facility Engineer to join our Data Center Facility Operations team. Our data centers serve as the foundation upon which our software operates to meet the demands of our customers. The Critical Facility Engineer will be a part of the Facility Operations team responsible for operating and maintaining critical systems in our data centers.

Required Skills:

Critical Facility Engineer Responsibilities:

1. Perform all maintenance to ensure the highest level of efficiency without disruption to the business

2. Accurate and timely completion of work order requests

3. Maintain a positive and professional working relationship with internal clients

4. Respond to facility emergencies

5. Perform routine maintenance tasks in accordance with Facebook Safety Policy and Procedures

6. Regularly inspect buildings, grounds and equipment for unsafe or malfunctioning conditions

7. Troubleshoot, evaluate and recommend system upgrades

8. Order parts and supplies for maintenance and repairs

9. Solicit proposals for outsourced work

10. Work with vendors and contractors to ensure their work meets Facebook standards

11. Escalate issues to facility management as needed

Minimum Qualifications:

12. High school diploma or equivalent (i.e. GED)

13. 5+ years experience in electrical, HVAC, mechanical, controls, or other technical maintenance field

14. Experience in blueprints and CAD drawings

15. Associate's degree in engineering plus 3+ years experience or Bachelor's degree in related field plus 2+ years experience in electrical, HVAC, mechanical, or controls will be considered in lieu of 5+ years experience

16. Experienced in broad industries such as various industries such as electrical generation, electrical distribution, cooling technologies, and fire protection systems

17. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite - Word, Excel and Outlook

18. 3+ years experience in a data center or other Critical Environment (pharma, clean room, medical, power production, etc.)

19. Trade Certification or state license in Electrical or Mechanical (HVAC)

20. Knowledge of critical facilities operations

21. Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and life safety monitoring and control systems typically used in critical environments

22. Experienced in broad industries such as electrical generation, electrical distribution, cooling technologies, building control and fire protection systems

23. Knowledge of Hexagon systems

Public Compensation:

$42.31/hour to $58.65/hour + bonus + equity + benefits
