We are looking for a skilled hardware engineer to join our team in developing innovative mixed reality (MR) input devices. As part of our cross-functional team, you will collaborate with experts in electrical, mechanical, firmware, software, and research to Develop and refine concepts into prototype, test hypotheses that inform and define future MR experiences and hardware products and drive innovation in the development of MR input devices.

    Required Skills:

Electrical Engineer, Input and Interaction Responsibilities:

    1. Design, develop, and test electrical systems and sensors using existing and emerging technologies to create novel MR input devices.

    2. Embrace ambiguity, creating prototypes which explore input and interaction techniques in a variety of mixed reality environments and situations.

    3. Rapidly iterate on prototype concepts to drive interaction definition, refinement, and requirements, prioritizing a user-centered design approach.

    4. Work collaboratively in a team environment spanning multiple engineering disciplines (electrical, mechanical, firmware, software, etc.) to develop systems and manage cross-functional design constraints and trade-offs.

    5. Leverage electrical engineering fundamentals in analog and digital circuit design to build, debug, and validate custom prototypes.

    6. Design and integrate electrical systems - define architectures, select components, design schematics, direct board layout, conduct design reviews, author design documentation, and coordinate PCB fabrication/assembly with external vendors.

    7. Optimize electrical architecture for power consumption, battery life, and mass production feasibility.

    8. Characterize, debug, and test systems using standard bench-top laboratory equipment

    9. Effectively communicate concepts and progress in various settings/forums/context to leadership and peers.
