Job Description:
Parsons Corporation is seeking a dedicated and experienced Water Truck Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering and spraying water at our various job sites to control dust, compact soil, and support other construction activities. This role is crucial in ensuring the safety and efficiency of our operations.
**Must be on-site at Fort Bliss U.S. Army post in El Paso, Texas***
What You'll Be Doing:
+ Operate water trucks to transport and distribute water at construction sites.
+ Spray water to control dust and assist with soil compaction as required.
+ Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in proper working condition.
+ Maintain accurate records of water usage and delivery schedules.
+ Follow all safety protocols and company policies while operating the water truck.
+ Communicate effectively with site supervisors and other team members to coordinate water delivery and spraying activities.
+ Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on the water truck as needed.
+ Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving the water truck.
+ Report any mechanical issues or safety concerns to the supervisor immediately.
+ Assist with general site duties when not driving (as needed).
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
+ High school diploma or equivalent.
+ Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
+ Previous experience operating a water truck (preferred).
+ Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety practices.
+ Excellent time management skills with the ability to work independently.
+ Strong communication and teamwork skills.
+ Familiarity with construction site safety and operations.
What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
+ Previous experience in the construction industry.
+ Certification in heavy equipment operation.
+ Familiarity with local and state regulations regarding water usage and transportation.
