    + POSITION SUMMARY

    + Reports To:

    + Med/Surg Unit Manager

    + Summary:

    + Care for ill, injured, convalescent, or disabled persons in hospitals and clinics. May work under the supervision of a registered nurse or physician. Licensing required.

    + Work Schedule:

    + Must be able to work non-standard hours, including weekends, holidays, sometimes in excess of 40 hours per week. Must be flexible to work on various nursing units.

    + SKILLS & ABILITIES

    + Education

    + Graduate of an accredited School of Practical Nursing.

    + Experience

    + One to two years related experience

    + Computer Skills

    + Proficient in Microsoft Office, email and basic computer skills for other software used throughout the hospital for your area of responsibility.

    + Certificates & Licenses

    + Current nursing license with the State of Indiana required. Certification in BLS required.

    + Other Requirements

    + Math skills to calculate dosages.

     

    This position requires frequent standing, walking, use of hands and fingers, lifting and carrying 0-100 lbs and pushing and pulling 0-100 lbs.
