Barnes Jewish Hospital is looking for a PRN (as needed) Clinical Dietitian. You will work along side of other meical professionals to give the patient the care they need whle exhibiting the BJC Values.

The Department of Food and Nutrition at Barnes-Jewish Hospital consists of Patient, Retail and Catering Service areas on both the North and South Campus.¿ This includes patient meal and Clinical Nutrition Services, Queeny Tower Restaurant, three Cafeterias and three Coffee Bars.¿ It is the role of the department to serve the needs of patients, visitors and employees with excellent customer service.¿ Our qualified staff services the patients' nutritional needs during their hospital stay according to specified guidelines to improve their clinical status and assist in the healing process.¿ Opportunities are available for all skill levels from entry-level positions to licensed and/or certified management positions.
Preferred Qualifications
Role Purpose
Provide advanced medical nutrition therapy (nutrition assessment, nutrition screening, counseling, education, modified diet formulation, nutrition intervention, nutrition support) for in-patients and out-patients (clinic setting) appropriate to age-related needs and diagnosis/disease. Provides basic MNT for all patient populations and advanced MNT for specialized patient populations (Ketogenic, CF, Renal, SICU, PICU, NICU). Maintains high level of involvement and visibility in patient care areas.
Responsibilities
+ Assesses, makes recommendations and plans for patient's medical nutrition therapy.
+ Implements medical nutrition care in collaboration with the medical team.
+ Promotes dietetics through education, training and participation in research.

Education
+ Bachelor's Degree - Nutrition
Experience
+ 2-5 years

+ Licensed Dietitian
