Adjunct Faculty: ECG/Phlebotomy

Westchester Community College seeks a non-credit health adjunct to teach ECG and/or Phlebotomy Training courses. The incumbent may teach all or part of the lecture and laboratory practice training. They are responsible for the comprehensive course instruction within specified program areas, creating a course outline and syllabus, presenting class lectures and educational demonstrations, preparing course benchmarks (such as quizzes and exams) and maintaining student grades/attendance reports.
Job Requirements:
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: A minimum of a Bachelor's degree is required. A minimum of one year of employment in a healthcare facility, including a minimum of 1 year in an ambulatory healthcare setting performing clinical procedures required. Practical occupational experience in ECG and Phlebotomy also required. The demonstrated competency to teach adult learners, experience working with diverse populations, and demonstrated knowledge of internet navigation, email and computer skills are required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: A minimum of three years of employment in a healthcare facility is strongly preferred. Additional preferred credentials include certification as a Phlebotomist, EKG Tech, Medical Assistant and Registered Nurse, RN.
Additional Information:
Hourly Rate of Pay: $63.20 per hour. No benefits.
