Description

The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Emory University School of Medicine and the EmoryTransplant Center are seeking a licensed/licensed-eligible clinical health psychologist to work primarily onthe inpatient heart/VAD and lung transplant teams as part of the Transplant Behavioral Health program.

Primary roles include (1) pre- and post- surgical assessment, treatment planning and implementation ofbrief health psychology interventions for hospitalized transplant candidates and recipients; (2) attendance inorgan specific team meetings and the transplant behavioral health team; (3) conduct outpatient individual andgroup therapy services within the lung/heart/VAD populations; (4) educating and training staff and supervisingand teaching within the psychiatry residency and psychology training programs, (5) participating in research orquality improvement activities, and (6) contributing to the department and broader institution through service.

Applicants must have a doctorate in clinical psychology from an APA accredited graduate program, an APAaccredited internship, and at least one-year supervised postdoctoral training. Applicants with administrativecompetencies, in addition to clinical, research, and teaching expertise, are encouraged to apply.
