Description

The Department of Public Service and Administration in the Bush School of Government and Public Service invites applicants for a full-time Visiting Instructional Assistant Professor. This position is non-tenure accruing and will be for a 10-month term, expected to begin on August 1, 2025. This position is located on the College Station campus of Texas A&M University and requires in-person, on campus-based work. The appointment may have the possibility of renewal, depending upon future allocations of faculty positions. This position involves substantial teaching responsibilities in both graduate and upper level undergraduate courses. The successful candidate must be well prepared to teach graduate courses in the economics of public policy and public finance, as well as undergraduate courses in related subjects. We are open to all subfields of economics, but preferences will be given to candidates with expertise in public economics, energy economics, welfare economics, or environmental economics. The teaching load is six courses per academic year.

Qualifications

Qualifications for the appointment must include a demonstrated record of teaching in relevant courses. Applicants must have completed a Ph.D. in public policy, economics, business, finance, or related fields. The anticipated start date will be August 1, 2025.
