Job Summary and Qualifications

Performs radiological diagnostic procedures. Operates diagnostic equipment, interprets physician’s scanning instructions, administers contrast materials, and captures appropriate images of patients.

DUTIES INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

+ Performs timely diagnostic radiology procedures for subsequent evaluation and treatment by attending physician.

+ Secondary duties include ordering supplies, stocking, and conducting quality control on the equipment.

+ Performs necessary quality control procedures to ensure quality exams are performed.

+ Maintains patient comfort and adheres to proper safety procedures.

+ Contributes to the teamwork, philosophy of the department/office.

+ Adheres to and practices appropriate infection control policies and procedures

+ Assumes responsibility for maintain and improving diagnostic imaging knowledge and skills with the support and assistance of outside educational resources.

+ Assists in maintaining budgeted supply expense.

+ Responsible for maintaining current licensure and certification for the facility diagnostic radiology equipment and licensure.

+ Perform other duties as required.

+ Must read and understand and adhere to all Physician Services policies and procedures.

+ Practice and adhere to the Code of Conduct and Mission and Values statements

EDUCATION:

+ Graduation from an accredited school of radiological technology

+ 2 years of post- graduate experience preferred

**CERTIFICATION/LICENSE** :

+ Exposure to toxic/caustic/chemicals, detergents Exposure to extreme conditions (hot/cold) Exposure to dust/fumes

+ BLS and CPR certification preferred

+ ARRT registration and license in accordance to state regulations.
