    Job Description

    Insight Global is looking for a Sr. Data Engineer for one of their premier clients in Houston, Texas. This person can work remotely in their home or work a hybrid work schedule if they choose to do so. This candidate will help streamline current infrastructure and add a streaming transport and transformation layer to an organization within the company. Although this role will have some pipeline building it is mainly a platform role. He / She will report directly to the Vice President of Data on a daily basis. You will help provide tooling and guidance to prevent data sprawl, excessive system complexity or accumulation of technical debt in the codebase.

    Skills and Requirements

     

    6+ years of experience as a Data Engineer

     

    Extensive experience programming in any language (some time worked in a collaborative engineering environment)

     

    Strong SQL experience

     

    High level of comfort with infrastructure as code

     

    Experience with streaming transport and stream processing

     

    In previous role has experience dealing with governance and security for data infrastructure This role is seeking to pay around a $160,000 salary. null
