Job Description
Job Purpose/Summary:
As a Facilities Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and improving the companies buildings and grounds. This includes a wide range of tasks related to security, custodial, light construction, and familiarity with mechanical, plumbing, and electrical systems. You will perform preventive maintenance, address minor repairs, and respond to facility needs promptly. Your work ensures that our labs, office spaces, and warehouse spaces remain running efficiently, safely, and remain fully operational.

- Responsibilities and Duties
- Perform daily inspections and preventive maintenance on facility systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems and addresses concerns in a timely manner.
- Diagnose and repair minor issues with lighting, power distribution, plumbing fixtures, and other facility systems.
- Coordinate with external vendors for more complex repairs and installations as needed.
- Develop and maintain a relationship with all contractors and vendors to ensure compliance with contracted services (janitorial, security, snack/food etc.)
- Assist in small construction and renovation projects, including framing, drywall, painting, and minor carpentry work.
- Respond to work orders in a timely manner and ensure repairs are completed efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and building codes.
- Maintain facility documentation, including maintenance records and equipment manuals.
- Support with the setup and teardown of equipment for company events, tests, and lab setups.
- Collaborate with our Planning team to support facility needs as new projects arise.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Education/Experience:
- Associates degree or equivalent in a related trade school program
- Five (5) to (7) years of facilities maintenance, Operations, Construction experience (an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered)
$40 - $45/hour

Skills and Requirements
- Required Skills:
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance, with strong skills in mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and construction.
- Ability to work with hand and power tools in a safe and efficient manner.
- Experience driving a forklift and ability to become a certified operator
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documents.
- Experience in HVAC maintenance, BMS systems and is a plus.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and solve problems quickly.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining safety and quality standards.
- Certifications in electrical or HVAC systems are a plus.
- Previous experience in an aerospace, R&D, or high-tech environment
- Familiarity with preventive maintenance software and facilities ticketing systems null
