    Job Description

    Overview: Skilled IT Systems Engineer with expertise in Linux Administration, Disaster Recovery (DR), and Business Continuity Planning (BCP). This role involves managing and optimizing our Linux-based infrastructure, ensuring data protection, and supporting business continuity initiatives. The candidate will also lead backup administration for our Rubrik environment.

    Responsibilities:

    Linux Administration: Install, configure, and maintain Linux systems (e.g., RHEL, CentOS), ensuring optimal performance and security.

     

    System Monitoring: Monitor system health, troubleshoot issues, and implement performance optimizations.

     

    Security Management: Apply security best practices, manage user accounts, and perform software patching.

     

    Automation: Develop and maintain automation scripts/tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform) for system management.

     

    Support: Provide troubleshooting for application issues, kernel panics, hardware failures, and networking problems.

     

    Backup & DR: Develop, maintain, and test backup and disaster recovery strategies.

     

    Rubrik Management: Manage backup environment, ensuring proper scheduling and recovery processes.

     

    BCP: Collaborate on business continuity plans to ensure minimal downtime and quick recovery.

     

    Pay Rate: $78-$80

    Skills and Requirements

     

    Experience: 7+ years in Linux Administration, focusing on backups, DR, and BCP.

     

    Skills: Strong experience with Rubrik backup solutions, familiarity with cloud-based backup systems (e.g., AWS, Azure), and experience with automation tools like Ansible/Terraform. null
