Job Description

The IT Quality Assurance Automation Developer will report to the IT Quality Assurance Manager and will join a team of 20 (mix of developers, QAs). This role will develop, maintain and execute test automation scripts for mid to large scale IT Applications. Design test automation framework to accelerate testing with the highest levels of quality, accuracy to deliver high-quality experience to our customers. Assist in evaluation of test automation tools, methodologies and define procedures, guidelines for automation testing. Analyze requirements and design test cases for manual or automated execution.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Transform system requirements and manual test cases into technical design and application testing code.

Apply critical thinking, experience, and research sources in the design and implementation of automated solutions which improve application quality, test case coverage and defect reduction.

Ensure compatibility of applications and databases with others via automated interface test scripts development.

Recommend and adopt emerging technologies to ensure optimal performance of the applications.

Develop, maintain and implement standards and methodologies for automated scripting via selected technologies.

Create and execute functional system, integration, and REST API, UI, database test cases.

Analyze and collect various data points about system failures (defects) from application or platform logs, database and other relevant sources.

Maintain test environment configuration based on testing requirements.

Ensure quality of all development deliverables through test case design, development and coding of executable scripts.

Code scripts in a manner that can be easily used and executed by others.

Provide subject matter expertise.

Analyze change requests to provide development, automation efforts and estimates.

Perform other related duties as required.

20/hr USD to $22/hr USD - Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Skills and Requirements

5 yrs of experience in a QA Automation Developer role

Hands on experience developing mid to large scale automated test scripts

Experience developing web service automation scripts using tools such as Postman, RestAssured.

Experience developing with Cucumber, Selenium, BrowserStack.

Experience with Docker containers and Kubernetes platform, like OpenShift.

Experience with Kafka messaging system.

Knowledge of spring-boot framework.

Detailed knowledge of SQL, ability to write complex queries.

Experience using Jira and qTest for script management.

Detailed knowledge of HTTP and REST API.

Hands on experience in Java programming.

Hands on experience of git and GitHub and git related workflow and best practices.

Experience testing with CI/CD pipeline with Jenkins.

Self-driven, ability to analyze and complete tasks on their own.

Excellent planning & organizational skills.

Strong written and verbal communications skills.

Capability to quickly learn other platforms.

Possess the technical skills required to successfully present technical solutions to non-technical business teams.

Independent and creative thinker. Experience using AI assisted development tools.

Experience developing automation scripts for mobile applications is a plus. null
