Job Description

An enterprise level client is looking for a Information Security Cloud Architect specializing in Application Security. This role involves designing and implementing secure cloud architectures with a focus on application security principles. The architect will collaborate closely with development teams, infrastructure architects, and security professionals to ensure cloud-based applications are resilient against cybersecurity threats and compliant with industry standards. This is a hybrid opportunity reporting 3 days onsite in Orange County, CA. Responsibilities below but are not limited to:

* Cloud Security Architecture:

* Design secure cloud architectures.

* Develop security design principles and guidelines.

* Align with enterprise security strategies and regulations.

* Application Security:

* Integrate SAST and DAST into CI/CD pipelines.

* Provide guidance on secure coding and vulnerability management.

* Conduct security assessments and manage application security controls.

* Collaboration and Leadership:

* Integrate security best practices in SDLC.

* Automate security testing and deployment with DevOps teams.

* Promote application security awareness.

* Continuous Improvement:

* Stay updated on security threats and technologies.

Recommend new security tools and technologies.

Skills and Requirements

* 10+ years in cloud architecture and application security.

* Mature DevSecOps practices in application security architecture frameworks by incorporating shift-left initiatives, integrating SAST and DAST into CI/CD pipelines for early detection of vulnerabilities

* Experience conducting security assessments and reviews of applications deployed in cloud environments to identify and mitigate risks

* Strong knowledge of AWS, Azure, GCP, and security services.

* Certifications (CISSP, CCSP, AWS Security Specialty) preferred.

* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
