This role is hybrid onsite in Chicago, IL

The Technical Project Manager is responsible for managing day-to-day project activities of highly technical projects under the data engineering, CRM technology, and BI technology organization. You will ensure project control procedures and policies are adhered to as per technologys project performance standards. This role will work closely with other tech PMs, engineering teams, and auditors to prepare business cases, and analyze and document complex data, and collect artifacts necessary for special projects and audit-related requirements.

Responsibilities:

Audit Planning and Execution:

• Develop and execute audit plans for technical projects.

• Conduct fieldwork and reporting of assurance and advisory engagements.

• Identify and evaluate risks and controls in business processes

Compliance and Regulatory Oversight:

• Ensure adherence to financial regulatory requirements, audits, and compliance standards relevant to technology initiatives.

• Collect and provide artifacts to auditors within tight timeframes.

Risk Management:

• Identify and mitigate technical risks that could impact project success.

• Develop recommendations to improve the control environment

Collaboration:

• Work closely with other technical project managers and engineering teams to coordinate meetings, collect data and information, and providing guidance and support for compliance and audit requests.

• Communication directly with internal and external auditors and leadership.

Skills and Requirements

- Overall, 7+ years of technical project management experience with recent experience within the banking or financial services industry.

- Strong knowledge of financial regulatory requirements, compliance standards, project governance, and reporting for highly technical initiatives.

- Experience collecting artifacts and documenting project findings for regular audits.

- Must have dashboard reporting experience, preferably with Tableau and Excel.

- Understanding of technical project processes, navigating blockers, intakes, and identifying and mitigating technical risks.

- Experience with waterfall and agile methodologies and knowledge of the Software Delivery Life Cycle (SDLC)

- Strong communication and presentation skills. - Project management experience for data engineering, Salesforce, BI, and/or cloud initiatives.

- PowerBI and reporting automation experience. null
