We are looking for a frontend engineer who take pride in tackling interesting challenges, excel at working in an agile environment, and are excited about our mission. They must possess strong verbal and written communication skills, be self-driven and deliver high quality results in a fast paced environment. They need to really enjoy working closely with their peers in a group of very smart and talented engineers. We're looking for people who are smart and can get things done, though the following skill sets provide a good foundation for a quick ramp up to being productive in our React, Java framework.
Key job responsibilities
* Work closely with senior engineers, UX designers, and product managers to develop user-friendly UI experiences.
* Work closely with other engineers to develop the best architectural design.
* Working with other team members to investigate design approaches, prototype new technology and evaluate technical feasibility
* Develop engineers of an existing “two pizza” scrum team on full-stack/frontend development.
* Engage with customers and other Amazon business partners to continuously improve the product’s usability.
* Collaborate with other Paragon engineers for cross-cutting features.
A day in the life
As a Frontend Engineer on the team you will take ownership over the frontend design, documentation, development, engineering approach, delivery and support of systems built natively. In this role you will collaborate with leaders, work backwards from customers, identify problems, propose innovative solutions, relentlessly raise standards, and have a positive impact on hundreds of millions of customers.
Basic Qualifications
- 2+ years of non-internship professional front end, web or mobile software development using JavaScript, HTML and CSS experience
- 1+ years of computer science fundamentals (object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, problem solving and complexity analysis) experience
- Experience with object-oriented design
- Experience using JavaScript frameworks such as angular and react
Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ years of agile software development methodology experience
- Experience with common front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JS, TypeScript, and Node

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
