We are seeking a **Facility Operations Supervisor** to motivate and build trust. You will lead our production driven safety conscious team in **Tacoma, WA** . Responsibilities include but not limited to for front line leadership supervision of plant operations including shipping and receiving and blending.

**Wage:** $75-90k

+ Performs supervision of department and site-specific plant operations, including, but not limited to, truck and rail loading/unloading, tank farm operations, scanning applications for Waste tracking.

+ Supervises and mentors’ union employees.

+ Training and development of new hires.

+ Following up to ensure they are trained properly and signed off Ability to streamline and improve processes.

+ Able to review all applicable standard operating procedures (SOP’s) annually and score satisfactorily on quizzes.

+ Acts as the recognized subject matter expert in their area(s) of responsibility.

+ Ensures that employees follow and maintain all applicable Health and Safety rules, Standard Operating Procedures, and all other site-specific policies and procedures and holds employees accountable when they do not.

+ Ensures that supervised operations/ employees understand and have ownership for area specific permit required compliance standards.

+ Writing various permits such as HOTWORK

+ Works under the direction of the S&R Manager or equivalent.

+ Responsible for maintaining a clean work environment in their areas of responsibility.

What does it take to work at Safety-Kleen?

+ High School or equivalent

+ 3+ years supervisory type experience in an industrial environment (Petro-Chemical exp is a plus!)

+ Experience managing union employees

+ Proven problem solver

+ Mechanically inclined

+ Experience writing HOTWORK permits, and other permitting is a plus!

+ Proficient MS Office Suite – Word, Excel and Outlook

+ Rail and Tanker knowledge dealing with liquids is an asset

+ Fair leader who motivates and builds trust

+ Ability to streamline and improve processes

+ Must work well under pressure and pivot as needed

+ Excellent communication skills written and verbal

+ Strong documentation and organizational skills

+ Computer literate
