• Java Developer (TDD/Paired Programming)

    Job Description

    A company in the Cincinnati, Ohio area is looking for a Java Developer to join their team! This team operates in an agile XP/TDD methodology which is an Extreme Programming (XP) environment where pairing is expected full-time and follows test driven development (TDD), writing tests first, code second. The environment is very fast paced and operates in small product teams directly working with the business to deliver business outcomes. This role will operate on a hybrid model, on site Tuesdays and Thursdays. In the paired environment, there is opportunity to expand their skills when paired with a more senior developer or having the chance to mentor and coach when paired with a more junior team member. This individual must be comfortable with a true agile environment and be open to heavy collaboration on a daily basis.

    Skills and Requirements

    * 5-7 yrs Java Development experience (they are on Java 17, Java 11 is fine)

    * Rest API experience

    * Spring/Spring boot

    * Testing frameworks - Junit, Jest * Paired Programing experience

    * Knowledge of Insurance industry null
