Job Description

A client of Insight Global is looking for a Linux System Administrator to join their team of 5. This role involves maximizing performance and efficiency and managing infrastructure environment. Responsibilities include implementing system enhancements, managing backups, ensuring virus protection, maintaining security compliance, and managing user accounts. Additionally, the candidate will develop technical processes and provide support to other classified programs. Strong leadership, communication skills, and experience in network management are essential. The ideal candidate for this role will have stronger proficiency on with Linux Administration but is still comfortable working in Windows 30-40% of the time. They should have experience in Solaris OS, Ansible Playbooks, STIG implementation, bash/PowerShell scripting. This environment is a mix between physical servers and virtual machines.

Compensation: $42/hr. -- 57/hr. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 1st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.

Skills and Requirements

Bachelors degree and 2+ years of experience

Secret or Top-Secret security clearance

8570 compliant / IAT level 2 Certified ex. Security+ certification

Deploying DoD stigs and scanning for vulnerabilities using Nessus

Experience using Ansible Playbooks to automate tasks

Experience using Solaris OS, RHEL 7, 8, and 9 and Windows 2016 and 2019 Experience with Windows AD, LDAP, VMWare, and knowledge of SAN storage systems

Knowledge of environmental monitoring tools (HBSS/Solar Winds/Splunk

Understanding of networking, including subnets, routing, and VLANs; Cisco experience and/or certification null
