    Northrop Grumman Defense Systems sector (NGDS) is seeking a **Sr. Principal Games for Training Lead** to join our **Joint Base Lewis-McChord** (JBLM) Mission Training Complex (MTC) team on-base in **Washington** state. The selected candidate will lead a team to run the JBLM Army Games for Training (GFT) to conduct collective training.

     

    This position is contingent upon contract award, budget, and customer approval.

    Responsibilities:

    + Leverages comprehensive understanding and application of principles, practices, and industry standards of mission command training and training support

    + Demonstrates the skill and ability to independently perform complex professional tasks and solve complex problems

    + Develops approaches to solutions and independently makes decisions that do not result in serious program delays or considerable expenditure of resources

    + Provides consulting expertise to military and defense clients in the development and evaluation of military training, and participates in determining unit objectives

    + Represents the GFT team daily as a prime contact and interacts with senior internal and external partners on significant matters often requiring coordination between multiple stakeholders

    + Develops and delivers presentations

    + Ensures all software and hardware configurations and various simulation systems such as GFT, Warrior Skills Trainers (WST), and Shoothouse (TSS) can communicate and work reliably

    + Capable of running any system in the facility without supervision while supervising a team of 4-7 trainers and technicians

    + Works directly with customer units to plan and develop training plans

    + Develops training scenarios and products that meet the unit requirements and Commanders’ training intent

    + Coaches Soldiers on the use of gaming hardware for training and assists the customers on achieving their goals

    + Acts as the GFT system administrator and lead facilitator

    + Leverages expertise with multiple simulation and tactical communication system

    + Learns to use scripts in the Run Time Editor to change variables and conditions within the simulation environment as required by the Commander

    + Briefs leaders, visitors, and distinguished guests with facility overview and hands-on user experiences that showcase the capabilities of the systems and the professional competence of the staff

    + As needed maintains, troubleshoots, and corrects system issues

    + Maintains a common database of add-ons that allows speedy integration of multiple systems into a single simulation when required by unit training events

    + As required, supports other training requirements within the Mission Training Center team

    Basic Qualifications:

    + One of the following:

    + High school diploma or GED with a minimum of 14 years of simulation training experience

    + Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 10 years of simulation training experience

    + Master’s degree with a minimum of 8 years of simulation training experience

    + Military leadership experience at platoon or higher level

    + Familiar with the basic operation of Mission Command Information Systems (MCIS)

    + Familiar with current military regulations, policies. and standards

    + Possesses the ability to work multiple projects /tasks, interface with multiple contractors, Government, and US military personnel

    + Must be able to work on-site at Joint Base Lewis-McChord in Washington

    + Must be able to travel as needed (up to 10% of the time)

    + Must have an active U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearance

    + Ability to pick up and move a minimum of 50 pounds

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + Combat Arms Senior NCO experience

    + Current valid certifications in CompTIA Security+ and/or Network+ Excellent communication skills

     

    Salary Range: $103,200.00 - $154,800.00

     

    The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

     

    Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
