Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Clerk to join our team. In this role, you will oversee payroll processing for both union and non-union employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all regulations. This is an on-site position with flexible start times, offering a supportive, family-first work environment.

Responsibilities:

• Process payroll for union and non-union employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and labor laws.

• Collaborate with multiple departments, including accounting and human resources, to gather and verify payroll data.

• Handle payroll tax calculations and filings

• Maintain and update payroll records, including employee information and benefits deductions.

• Address payroll-related inquiries from employees and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.

• Generate reports for management, providing insights into payroll expenses and trends.

• Ensure compliance with union agreements and manage payroll complexities related to multiple union halls.

• Support the finance team with additional administrative tasks as needed.

This is a permanent position that will pay up to $50,000 depending upon experience. please apply to Jane Gearhart if interested!

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience in payroll processing or a related field.

• Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

• Excellent communication skills to interact with both office staff and field employees.

• Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.

• Experience with payroll tax calculations and compliance is highly desirable.

• Exposure to union payroll processes is a significant advantage.

• A steady and calm demeanor to manage multiple personalities and work environments.
