Description
We are looking for a motivated and experienced Tax Department Manager to oversee tax compliance and reporting for multiple entities. This role requires strong leadership skills to guide a team, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in all filings and payments. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in corporate tax processes and a commitment to maintaining compliance with federal and state regulations.
Responsibilities:
• Lead and mentor a team, providing training and fostering their growth.
• Oversee the preparation and submission of quarterly and annual tax filings and payments for employer and employee taxes across multiple entities.
• Manage the calculation and coordination of estimated and final corporate tax payments.
• Address inquiries and garnishment requests from federal and state tax agencies.
• Ensure timely filing of information returns using designated systems and tools.
• Facilitate the opening and closing of state and federal tax accounts as needed.
• Maintain a comprehensive tax calendar to track and meet all deadlines.
• Collaborate with internal teams to support tax filings, reserve calculations, and payments.
• Handle special projects and assignments related to tax operations.
• Manage the company’s tax inbox, delegating tasks to ensure efficient workflow.
The salary range for this position is $125,000 to $175,000 + discretionary bonus.

Requirements • Proficiency in accounting software such as CaseWare, CCH ProSystem Fx, and ADP.
• Strong knowledge of corporate tax compliance and corporate tax return preparation.
• Experience with annual income tax provisions and auditing processes.
• Ability to train and mentor employees effectively, fostering a productive team environment.
• Excellent organizational skills with a focus on meeting deadlines and managing multiple priorities.
• Familiarity with entity formation and tax-related compliance requirements.
• Leadership skills to manage and guide a team of professionals.
• Strong communication skills for collaborating with internal teams and responding to external inquiries.
