Description
We are looking for an experienced Event Coordinator to support our professional services clients' event team in Troy, Michigan. This is a long-term contract position that requires a detail-oriented individual to manage a variety of corporate events, including tradeshows, client dinners, golf outings, and other related activities. The role involves collaborating with marketing teams and other internal stakeholders to ensure seamless planning and execution of events, while maintaining the firm's brand image.
Responsibilities:
• Plan and oversee participation in tradeshows and client-focused events, ensuring high-quality execution.
• Arrange and manage event materials, including banners, giveaways, printed collateral, and logistics for transportation.
• Coordinate client dinners by researching venues, making reservations, planning menus, and managing guest communications.
• Organize golf outings by coordinating attendee registrations, branding elements, and partnerships with associations.
• Monitor and track event expenses, providing accurate cost summaries to marketing partners.
• Act as the primary liaison with vendors, caterers, and staff to ensure smooth operations before and during events.
• Manage event registration processes and commitments, ensuring deadlines and requirements are met.
• Collaborate with internal teams to align event plans with company goals and branding strategies.
• Maintain detailed records of event logistics and outcomes for future reference and improvements.
Requirements • Proven ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects in a timely manner.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with internal teams and external partners.
• Critical thinking skills to analyze situations, make informed decisions, and adapt to changes.
• Detail-oriented demeanor with a positive attitude and self-confidence.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Outlook, as well as event management tools like monday.com.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in event coordination, project management, or a related field.
• High school diploma required; higher education is preferred.
• Ability to travel to event locations and work both independently and as part of a team. Innovation starts with people.®
